Course Overview

The PC Networking Level One course is an intensive, hands-on programme designed to provide practical skills in installing, testing, and troubleshooting PC networks, including peer-to-peer and client/server environments using Windows Server 2016/2019 and TCP/IP. Students will also gain foundational knowledge in network security, virtualization, and cloud technologies.

This course is structured to prepare students for the CompTIA Network+ certification, offering extensive practice with real-world network scenarios and simulations.

Course Objectives

By the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Prepare practically for the CompTIA Network+ certification exam
  • Install and manage Windows Servers in a client/server environment
  • Perform installation, configuration, and troubleshooting tasks on networks
  • Maintain LANs, configure Active Directory and DNS, and ensure network security
  • Apply foundational virtualization and cloud concepts to networked environments
